Barnacle Ocarina (clay whistle) B

Making these clay whistles was a fun experience but also difficult! This will likely be the only time that whistles will be available from Studio Sardine. We have made a good faith effort to be transparent about notes that may not be super clear, and priced the whistles accordingly. As well as list the notes the whistles play (which might not be perfectly correct, but the best we figured out using a tuning app), there is a video at the end of the photos, so you can hear the different notes. In the videos, we have used a very moderate amount of air pressure, but you can achieve different notes and effects by blowing lightly or hard. Your whistle will be washed before being shipped.

Plays notes C and A, both notes a tiny bit breathy.

Comes strung with a 32" hemp cord. To wash your ocarina, remove hemp cord and soak your whistle in warm, or hot, soapy dishwater for a few minutes. Use a non-scratching sponge or dishcloth to wipe mouthpiece and rinse thoroughly. Air dry.
