If your candle is more narrow, or not sitting straight up-and-down in the candle cup, you can melt a little pool of wax into the cup and press your candle in. Likewise, you can melt a little of the circumference of a too-fat candle. Ceramic may become hot to the touch when heated with a candle. Do not leave unattended or leave around children. Protect your surfaces with a trivet or heat-proof coaster.
